Walter Gretzky Golf Tournament
On August 5, 2010 we had the opportunity to be the photographers for the CNIB Walter Gretzky Golf Tournament in Victoria, BC. We spent the day at hole 10 where each of the teams had a chance to purchase a picture with Walter Gretzky. It was such a delight to be there, all the organizers, volunteers, golfers and sponsors were so great to work with. Walter was such a fun person, he had so many stories to share about life and history. He was also such a cheerleader for each of the golfers, as he watched he would predict the outcome of each swing, which was inevitably correct 90% of the time. He would also always ask if the golfers had any children or grandchildren who would like an autograph and would proceed to hand write each of them. We were so excited to be a part of this great fundraising event.

100th Anniversary of the Canadian Navy, May 4, 2010
We have had the privilege of following the artist as he created this wonderful masterpiece. The statue is inspired by public gratitude for the service and sacrifice others gave in the Canadian Navy and is a gift from their fellow citizens and shipmates. It represents the special moment in sailors lives when they return from the sea to once again meet their family.
At the 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Navy. There was a ceremony, parade and unveiling of three statues to celebrate this. In front of the statue's plaques were placed to commemorate Naval officers from across the country. It was an emotional ceremony and I thought it was so fitting when I saw this bouquet of flowers placed on one of the plaques. Here is a look at the article from the Times Colonist,

Sooke Potholes
Last week we had a photo shoot at Sooke Potholes. What an amazing landscape to photograph and the sound and force of the water was awesome to capture on video. We are gathering footage for an upcoming project.

Spring Is In The Air..
Wow, it's been a couple months since the last update on the blog.
We have been working on new video projects and have just updated our equipment to a larger system for photographing larger sizes of product and art pieces.
Since so much is in bloom now, almost a month earlier than last year, I thought I'd post a picture of a Magnolia tree in bloom taken a few weeks ago while on a leisurely walk.
It's only a little over a week until Easter. So I will say it early...
Have a Happy Easter everyone!
